Elias Petrou, University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, will introduce participants to the Thesaurus Linguae Graecae (TLG) and demonstrate how to utilize the TLG effectively in academic research.

Elias Petrou, University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign

Elias Petrou is an Assistant Professor and Librarian for Classical, Medieval, and Modern Greek Studies at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign (UIUC). Prior to his appointment at UIUC, he worked as an Associate Research Specialist for the digital project "Thesaurus Linguae Graecae" at the University of California, Irvine (UCI), and as a guest lecturer of Classics at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). His primary research interests lie in Greek paleography and 15th-century literature, with a particular focus on educational textbooks and the Byzantine educational system during the Late Palaiologan Era.
