Rebecca Darley, University of Leeds

Rebecca Darley is a scholar of the Eastern Mediterranean and the Western Indian Ocean in the first millennium. With a background in history, numismatics and archaeology, her work brings together diverse sources to tell new stories that connect the intimate and everyday with major transformations in political and economic structures. She is currently employed as Associate Professor of Global History, 500-1500 CE at the University of Leeds.
