St Athanasius College is thrilled to welcome back Mar Sebastian Brock to deliver our second public lecture on Hagiography and the Cult of Saints, focusing on Syriac Women Saints.

Sebastian Brock is Emeritus Reader in Syriac Studies at Oxford University, a Fellow of the British Academy, a universally respected scholar and teacher, and the much loved ‘father’ of Syriac Studies. He has published over 35 books and hundreds of articles on Classical Syriac language, literature and history, in addition to his incredibly useful encyclopedia entries and book reviews. He remains a popular speaker on Syriac Christianity.
