The School of Architecture at the University of Notre Dame invites applications for a two-semester postdoctoral research associate in architectural history focused on a global view of medieval architecture. The successful candidate must have a PhD in hand at the initiation of their appointment.
The research associate will teach one survey course in global medieval architectural history during the Spring 2025 semester on a second-year undergraduate level, and two specialized seminars during the Fall 2025 semester. Postdoctoral Research Associates have the opportunity to develop courses required by the School or that are aligned with their research interests. Appointed candidate will receive a salary commensurate with experience and will be eligible for University benefits, as well as being entitled to apply for funds for research and conference travel. During the academic year, research associates are expected to maintain primary residence in the South Bend area and to participate actively in the intellectual community of the School of Architecture.
Applicants must have a terminal degree (PhD) by the time of appointment. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
