The Department of History at Wichita State University invites applications for a renewable, non-tenure track Assistant Teaching Professor in ancient history to begin in August 2024. Individuals with experience teaching courses in medieval history are particularly encouraged to apply. The successful candidate will teach the World History survey (to 1500), existing upper division courses on ancient Greece and Rome, and new courses they develop in ancient and medieval history. The teaching load is 4/4, with the potential for course releases with service. There are no research or publication expectations. Wichita State provides for professional promotion of non-tenure teaching track personnel. A Ph.D. in hand by August 2024 is required.
