The Byzantine Studies Conference is the Byzantine Studies Association of North America's annual forum for the presentation and discussion of papers on every aspect of Byzantine Studies and on related topics relevant to the field. Conference attendance is open to all, regardless of nationality or academic status.  

The Forty-Eighth Annual Byzantine Studies Conference (BSC) will be held at the University of California, Los Angeles, from Thursday, November 3, through Sunday, November 6, 2022. The conference will be hosted by the CMRS Center for Early Global Studies with the collaboration of the UCLA Stavros Niarchos Foundation Center for the Study of Hellenic Culture and assistance from the Pourdavoud Center for the Study of the Iranian World. 

BSANA is planning an in-person conference with several blended sessions that will allow for some remote participation.
