In partnership with the journal Early Medieval Europe, the British School at Rome is pleased to announce the second BSR/EME Fellowship.   

Aimed at early career researchers (defined as current PhD students + postdoctoral researchers, max 2 years after PhD award by the application deadline) working on early medieval European history, the BSR/EME Fellowship will cover a month’s stay (30 nights) at the BSR, plus a contribution to travel.

The fellowship may be held at any point during the academic year 1 October 2025 – 30 June 2026. It is intended to facilitate access to the manuscripts, libraries, material culture and other resources of Rome.
