About the Workshop Leader

Jakub Kabala, Davidson College

Jakub Kabala is James B. Duke Pre-Tenure Professor of History and Digital Studies at Davidson College. His research explores the Cyrillo-Methodian project in Central Europe, early medieval ideas of space and frontiers, as well as computational methods of authorship attribution and verification. He has published on both traditional and computational philology, e.g. in Dumbarton Oaks Papers and Language Resources & Evaluation. He has taught programming, digital mapping, and computational philology at Davidson since 2015, and is most recently the author of an open-source textbook on Digital Mapping with the Wolfram Language.
