The Department of Art History at the University of Chicago solicits applications for a position at the level of assistant professor (tenure-track) at the intersection of archaeology and the history of art, particularly (but not exclusively) within the ancient Mediterranean, Eurasian, or South Asian range. Although it is not expected that applicants should have global expertise, ability to participate in comparative and historiographic projects is strongly encouraged. PhD or defended dissertation by 30 June 2016 is highly preferred.
