The Diocesan Academy of Religious and Historical Studies of the Holy Meteora invites applications for a postdoctoral fellowship for research on the history and spiritual tradition of the monastic community of the Holy Meteora. 

Research proposals should pertain to one of the following areas: hagiography, liturgical studies, palaeography/codicology, prosopography, or philology. All proposals should relate to  he history of the monasteries of the Holy Meteora or should be based mainly on documents, manuscripts, or related material held in the archives and libraries of the Meteoran monasteries, or on similar material of Meteoran origin held in other collections either in Greece or abroad.

Applications may be submitted by holders of doctoral degrees who have received their degree no more than 5 years ago (counting from the date of the award of the degree), or 6 years (if that period includes time for military service or parental leave).
