Metropolitan Museum Initiative Provides Free Access to 400,000 Digital Images

On May 16, Thomas P. Campbell, Director and CEO of The Metropolitan Museum of Art, announced the Met’s Open Access for Scholarly Content (OASC) initiative. Over 400,000 hi-res images of works in the public domain and free of other known restrictions are included initiative. The number of available images will increase as new digital files are added on a regular basis.
